Bug Description

I use linuxdcpp in a Gbit network but it is not possible to configure an upload speed larger than 100 in settings->personal->max upload speed.
I have linuxdcpp 1.0.1 core 0.698 on Debian Testing/Unstable. Hub version is 0.7.15

That is a bit of an ambiguous string. It doesn't limit the upload speed to that, it's just used for telling other people what you "theoretical" maximum upload is. :)
However i won't close this, since maybe a 1000 should be added ? :)

how about allowing the user to input anything he wants in that field?

Adding 1000 for bragging rights? Since simultaneous downloads interfere with the true allowable transfer speed, then the value of 1000 would be meaningless, unless simultaneous uploads/downloads was limited to one at a time. IN theory, an expected transfer speed could calculated(take the the users "average" maximum transfer speed) to fill that field.
