little maps on search results are confusing

Right now when I do a custom search (say, "Maine"), the little map that appears in the right-hand corner only shows those results that are on the current page. This was confusing to me, because I saw that there were 370 results, but only 16 on the map. Not until clicking "larger map" did I see all of them. Is it possible to either: a) add text specifying that this little map only shows what's on the page and making it more clear that the "larger map" will show all results; or b) (and think I prefer this one), show all results in the little map as well?
