Bug Description

Testdisk is very old in Ubuntu Dapper (6.06) - now there are version 6.1, while in Edgy there is 6.4.1 !

I recompiled testdisk 6.4 from Ubuntu Edgy on Ubuntu Dapper system without any changes to source and new version works fine without any problems! Backported packages (works on Ubuntu Breezy too !) you can download from Baltix GNU/Linux repository:
ftp://ftp.akl.lt/Linux/Baltix/Baltix-Ubuntu_packages/testdisk/

Please backport Testdisk from Edgy to Dapper - It is very useful in recovering lost partitions. It works with : FAT, NTFS, Linux Ext2 and Ext3, BeFS, BSD disklabels, CramFS (Compressed File System), HFS+, JFS, Linux Raid, Linux Swap, LVM2, NetWare NSS, ReiserFS 3.x and 4.x, Solaris i386 disklabels, UFS2 (Sun/BSD/...), XFS, etc, partition types.

Testdisk package also includes PhotoRec utility, which is file data recovery software designed to recover lost pictures, videos and other files from digital camera memory or even Hard Disks. It can recover .au, .avi, .wav, .bmp, .bz2, .c, .crw, .ctg, .doc, .dsc, .html, .jpg, .mov, .mp3, .mpg, .mrw, .orf, .pdf, .pl, .png, .raf, .raw, .rdc, .rtf, .tar, .tiff, .wma, .x3f, .zip files.
