jpilot-sync reboots palm on "Syncing Keys-Gtkr"

Brief summary: Using jpilot to edit Keyring data causes palm OS handhelds to reset during sync opterations, specifically when syncing Keys-Gtkr. This bug was confirmed by several users and fixed this spring in jpilot, but apparently not in the version in the Ubuntu repository. The jpilot team has posted a patch. Please see http://bugs.jpilot.org/1594 for the patch and for more information. My suggestion is to apply the patch and put the recompiled jpilot in the Ubuntu repository. Thanks!

Not a Backports bug. Ticket opened for jpilot in Ubuntu.

Bug looks confirmed upstream, not to mention there is a patch for it already.

Can we get this into Edgy?

As far as bringing this to Dapper, we can either use dapper-updates or dapper-backports.

The bug has been correct in Debian jpilot 0.99.8-0.99.9-pre-20060413-1 accordin to the Debian bug report for #350196

Edgy has 0.99.8-0.99.9-pre-20060625-1 so already contains the patch for the bug.

Ubuntu 8.04 has jpilot 0.99.9.17-1 with the fix included. So this bug should be closed now.
