Comment 2 for bug 1046866

Could this be generalized so that when any video starts (in browser or gnome player or vlc or...) an application is quit & another one starts?

I am asking for this since I use the package "redshift". I'd like to quit redshift when a video starts & start another instance of it with the parameters "-m vidmode" which adjusts the redness when watching a video!
