Bug Description

btrfs-tools is a dummy transitional package, which I'd like to remove.

Please migrate to using btrfs-progs package for runtime utilities.

Please use libbtrfs-dev for btrfs specific headers and libbtrfs0 library.

Reverse-Recommends
==================
* systemd-container
* ubiquity

Reverse-Depends
===============
* apt-btrfs-snapshot
* btrbk
* curtin
* ubuntu-server -> should be fixed by now

It is unclear why the curtin (Ubuntu) task was marked 'fix committed' over a year ago, but in practice curtin in eoan still has a dependency on btrfs-tools, which ceased to be a real package in cosmic and in eoan-proposed has been dropped as a provides: of btrfs-progs.

So this is now blocking the migration of the newer btrfs-progs package synced from Debian.

it's been proposed, but then i simply added Provides: old-name in the btrfs package.
basically it was easier to do that than to add support in curtin to sense which release it is, which release it is deploying (the two sometimes do not match) and thus install the right name.

@curtin team

Is there a plan to migrate to use new btrfs name? or should the provides be added back again?
New upload of btrfs-progs dropped the provides again, as it is long obsolete... apart from curtin...
