Bug Description
I want to customize a bionic beaver (Ubuntu 18.04 LTS), but it fails. Even if I just run cubic without applying any customization, the custom iso will fail to boot. Obviously, some files are missing as the original iso is 1.9 GB and the customized one just 1.7 GB.
So far the customized iso boots to the point where I am asked either to "try Ubuntu" or "install ubuntu". After selecting one of them I just get a black screen and my CPU fan turns on.
Just as note: For testing of the iso I use Oracle's VirtualBox.
I also tried to customize the kernel in the changeroot enviroment, but obviously the 4.15.0-20 has a bug not allowing to build modules via dkms. I can update to 4.15.0-22 and build the modules but then the building process fails as reported in a different thread with the message /casper/vmlinuz not found.

For me, casper/initrd.gz is the file not found. Looking at the original, it is there, but in the cubic generated iso, the file is casper/initrd.lz
