Bug Description
Hi,
We could avoid ports reshuffling complexity in LP:1865945 by switching to something more lightweight - UNIX sockets. Could use this for the caching Nginx layer and backend HAProxy.
We'll want to make sure the LUA script used for metrics works or is updated to work when switching to UNIX sockets.
This is in theory, so worth playing around and monitoring CPU and load after the switch.
