Hello,

The version of Ubuntu you are using (9.10) is no longer supported as of April 30, 2011; I would recommend upgrading to the current version (11.04), and then can you please see if the problem still occurs?

The best way to upgrade is by using update manager, sequentially (in descending order) following the instructions which can be found at:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LucidUpgrades
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MaverickUpgrades
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NattyUpgrades

If you are still having the problem, can you please run (after the upgrade process) the command Sergio asked for?

Thanks in advance,
Timothy

Oh, Sergio, apport won't collect any information for this bug unless a package is specified if I remember rightly.
