Bug Description

If I open ccsm and just click the checkmark to enable and disable these two plugins compiz crashes:

- File watcher (inotify)
- Dbus (dbus)

Unfortunately, compiz crashing when plugins are toggled in ccsm is a recurring problem. And each time it's a different bug with a different stack. When I toggle inotify or dbus I see at least two different crashes both in the unityshell plugin. Though it often takes several attempts before a crash occurs.

Please attach stack traces of your particular crash.

Configuration file used in Debian and Ubuntu (mainly workarounds for other bugs or key bindings).

Note: I never use unity or install the gconf backends.

It's similar to LP: #932125 but I don't think it is related or at least affected by the gconf fix. In Debian it still happens with all the packages updated to the HEAD of bzr. I would need to create some dbg packages to get stacktraces from Debian if needed.

Hmmm. Just rebuilt and can now no longer re-produce the crashes with the dbus plugin. I will try and figure out what's new

The issue is with the Cube plugin. If cube is enabled then enabling D-Bus will make Compiz crash.

I also experience this bug, Compiz version 0.9.13.1 on Manjaro Linux. Disabling the Cube plugin doesn't help in my case. It is, however, somehow related with the Compiz configuration since the crash doesn't happen on a new user account with default configuration.
