Bug Description

To reproduce:

1. Open terminal
2. In the terminal type gvim or any x window program
3. New window opens behind termnal window

It used to open in front of the terminal window in 10.04

yeah, thats not the case for me with fully upto date precise it seems.

One more thing, this happens when gnome-console is full screen. When the gnome-console is windowed, gvim appears fine. My system is kept upto date and I check for the bug again before posting, so yes the bug is still there as of this comment.

I entered terminal into fullscreen and stared a few applications and all would open infront of terminal.

Just checked with fully up-to-date precise and bug persists. Steps to reproduce:

1. open gnome-terminal
2. Go to full-screen
3. type "evince" which opens correctly in foreground but "gvim/chromium-browser/nautilus" open incorrectly in background

Basically gnome-based apps open correctly in foreground but others are random
