Bug Description

I'll attach a screenshot to clarify what I mean.

A major issue in Maverick and Natty. I can't use Oeneric because all the extra clicks and extra typing aggravates my arm injuries.

As described above several gnome-apps are concerned. The bug is still present in Gnome 3.4. I'll attach a screenshot of the update-manager to clarify what I mean.

This should be marked as affecting compiz and/or unity as it is unlikely the bug is in Evince or updatemanager.

Alexander Kallenbach, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - Vivid Vervet.

This is a significant bug in Ubuntu. If you need a fix for the bug in previous versions of Ubuntu, please perform as much as possible of the SRU Procedure [1] to bring the need to a developer's attention.

It works on 14.04 - I have not seen this bug in a long time, I think over a year, so no need for a SRU I think.
