Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

The bug happens when we roll up the pop up window of update-manager after to click on CHECK button.

Steps:
1. Open Update-Manager;
2. Click on CHECK button to update repository;
3. Quickly, before pop up window close, Roll it Up;
(obs: usually, you need compiz effects activated to realize this...
however, I had activated this option by Ubuntu Tweak in Windows Manager)
4. So, this window(pop up) will not close after update repository task!
(Take a look at file 'do-not-close.png' attached!)

Obs:
I have tried this behaviour with Synaptic and Software Sources too,
however their pop up closed after refresh repository task.

May be it happens only with update-manager.
It must be tried with another programs which pop up windows to represent some process.

Hi Jonathon,

To help out with reproducing this bug, can you tell me how you enabled the roll-up effect in Natty? I can't find the option in CCSM.

I have forgotten I realized it by Ubuntu Tweak in Window Manager Settings.

Hey guy,

I did some idioms update through Language Support app and the same error occurs!
Pop up windows that appears while a process is running (download language and installing it) are unable to close after a Roll up!

I can confirm this incredibly bizarre and random bug on Precise. The window does not close.

summary: - Window or Pop up, when in processing, do not close after Roll up
+ update-manager's popup window for checking updates will not close if
+ rolled up
