Moving window in Workspace Switcher doesn't work when gtk-recordmydesktop is running

Ubuntu Natty alpha 3, all updates installed

1. Launch Desktop Recorder and choose "Record".
2. In the launcher, click "Workspace Switcher".
3. Try to drag any window to move it between workspaces.

What happens: The window highlights but does not move.
What should happen: The window moves, just like it would if Desktop Recorder wasn't running.

I don't think this has to do with running unity. Could you try this in a gnome 2 session and see if it works?

No, because Gnome 2 doesn't contain Unity's Workspace Switcher.

Yes it does, it's just the compiz exposé effect.

I don't know what that is, sorry. I tried installing CompizConfig Settings Manager to find it, but searching in it for "exposé" returns no results.

I'm pretty sure you can just hit super+e just was you would in Unity.

Super+e in the "Ubuntu Classic" session does nothing at all. Holding down Super in the Unity session reveals the launcher and applies a character label to each item; pressing "e" then does nothing else.

I'm sorry, the shortcut was changed to super+w. My apologies. In older ubuntu releases it was super+e.

Super+w in the "Ubuntu Classic" session invokes some sort of gallery of open windows. (It might be a window switcher, but I haven't figured out how to switch windows using it.) It does not invoke a workspace switcher.

it seems that it was again changed (or perhaps I was incorrect before). the shortcut is super+s. if that doesn't work, go into ccsm, search for "expo", click the expo button to view expo options, and see what is listed as the "expo key". engage this, and the workspace switcher should be triggered.

i'm sorry for this long drawn out dialog for something that should be so simple.

this bug IS real. I have this bug in my updated natty beta2 so its time to fix it.

And yeh I tested in the classic desktop and the compiz realy HAVE this bug.

By workspace switcher do you mean the workspace overview mode or the
control alt directional pad switcher?

As part of the big bug review for 16.04 LTS, I have tested this on 15.10 and the bug is still there.
