Compiz does not appear to work within Portrait Mode (1080x1920); lots of screen tearing

Bug Description
Machine:
Core i5 NUC
Intel HD 5000 iGPU
8GB RAM
480GB SSD
When my monitor is set to landscape mode (1920x1080), dragging windows across the desktop does not result in any screen tearing. However, upon switching to landscape mode (1080x1920), dragging of ANY window at all will result in massive screen tearing within that window. Similarly, this affects browsers such as Firefox/Chrome, such that scrolling is significantly affected (screen tearing all over).
