Bug Description
Every time I load the program, I encounter some sort of graphics resolution error, currently as I open the app, the text is too large and the game just doesn't fit right on the screen. Lots of times this doesn't happen, but after I exit the program, I get back to my desktop with the desktop interface resolution way off, all the way down to 800x600 4:3 resolution.
I am NOT running proprietary drivers for operating my chipset.
This problem has gotten quite annoying, especially after the latest update to Ubuntu 13.10.
Please fix ASAP. Below is a log with my system specs and software information, as well as a complete benchmark assessment done in Hardinfo attached.
Thank you :)

Looks like a problem in xgalaga, which explicitly tries to reset the video mode and may not be making the best possible choices, and may not reset properly on exit.
