Why are you compiling Compiz version: 0.9.9.0 ?

Please try to "branch lp:compiz".

I created this bug from a question to be able to attach the files containing the output. I asked that question before compiz 0.9.10.0 was released (2103-07-11). Didn't notice the update. Will try to compile the new version.

Hi, isitsaturday

Could you try to install compiz-bzr from AUR? That should build.

OK, the AUR version works.

There are 9 versions of compiz in AUR. I've already tried 5 of them and compiz-bzr is the only one that builds. Source package should be working for those who don't want to spend days looking for an AUR version that builds.

@IsItSaturday

Most build issues in Arch are related to Python 3 default. There's already a bug tracking these issues, you can search for it.

Another easier way might be keeping the Arch Wiki updated, and asking the Trust Users to remove the packages in AUR that couldn't be built. It will be glad if you can help on this.

Anyway I'm closing this bug.
