Bug Description
[Test Case]
1. Open CCSM->General-
2. Disable "Framebuffer object"
3. Move windows and close/minimize/
Expected Outcome:
There should be no visible difference or graphics should render better and smoother with "Framebuffer object" enabled, as this is the default.
Actual Outcome:
With disabled "Framebuffer object" everything feels much smoother and less laggy.
Note:
* This is true for ATI with free gallium driver (the recommended one for this hardware) and is not yet tested on other machines with Intel or Nvidia gfx hardware.
* If "Framebuffer object" is disabled the Water Effect plugin will fail to work (AFAIK the only regression caused by disabling "Framebuffer object"), see also bug 1066547.
[Solution]
First we need to test this on other graphics hardware to make sure this bug is valid for other usual graphics/driver combinations as well.
If this is true, we should disable this option by default for now, or/and fix the framebuffers object code in the long run.
