opacify sometimes only opacifies parts of a window, not all

Bug Description
I find the opacify plugin sometimes fails to fully opacify a window. Instead only a small region (the damaged region?) of the window is made translucent.
Maybe we need better damage logic in opacity?

I haven't met this problem, it's just smooth and clean in my machines.
However, I met seldomly that the plugin cannot opacify some windows, or can only opacify a window after a window switch, but I can't reproduce.
I'll try to learn more about the plugin if I have time.
