Bug Description

Using nvidia-295.40, I notice rendering performance is lower with vertex_buffer_object enabled.

To reproduce:

1. Enable Benchmark and Expo plugins.
2. Start glxgears
3. Enter expo mode
4. Observe the benchmark frame rate.

With vertex_buffer_object enabled, it's around 30 FPS, sometimes up to 40. But if I disable vertex_buffer_object then it stays around 50 FPS.

Reduced Importance to Medium.

Further testing shows this slow-down only happens in expo mode, and only with the NVIDIA driver. In all other cases tested so far, vertex_buffer_object is not significantly slower.
