The bug is hard to describe, when you attempt to resize ubuntu software center window by pressing and holding the left mouse button over the bottom-right resize trigger the resize overlay (transparent representation of the new window size) is sometimes largely inaccurate, as if the resize trigger happened 30-50 pixels away from the point of click.

At times I managed to reproduce this bug in a configuration where software center window was very small in the top-left corner of the screen and the resize attempt immediately moved the overlay (not the pointer) all the way to the bottom right of the screen (but not 100% full screen, just a lot).

A video is attached to illustrate the issue. Please pay attention in the second half of the video, you can hear my mouse clicks to know when I press and release the left mouse button.

While it's very, very infrequent, I do still get this behavior sometimes in Precise. I get it often in Oneiric.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and upload the video. Since, we can't reproduce it in recent Ubuntu releases I changed the status to invalid, but if you still experience the issue in any of the supported Ubuntu releases, feel free to re-open it and update the description!
