You seem to be using the Radeon driver. Does using the FGLRX driver fix this?

I'm not sure which existing bug(s) relate to this one, but it's highly likely to have been resolved in all the performance improvements in compiz 0.9.7, which should land in precise by beta-1.

Hi, Adrian. What happens if you run 'unity --reset' in an <alt>F2 dialogue and re-enable wobbly windows?

Also, what if you go into the 'workarounds' section in the compiz manager and enable 'fix screen updates in xgl with fglrx'?

summary: - The animation is not working properly!
+ Minimize/maximize animations are slowed significantly when wobbly
+ windows are enabled.
