Do you have installed a package for your distribution, or do you have downloaded the coccinella binary from the coccinella website?

the binary works for me on OpenSUSE 11.1, the tray icon is shown in my KDE tray.

Changed in coccinella:
milestone: none → 0.96.22

The binary I got directly from the coccinella website.
0.96.18 I have got that way and there was an icon in system tray.
I dont know how the program will behave with other panels and WM's and unfortunately have no time to test it.
