drag a contact out of coccinella breaks the dragging operation

drag a contact to another group
mistakenly (but continueing to drag) go out of the coccinella window
re-enter in the coccinella window

now dragging is broken:
wherever you drop the contact,
1) nothing happens
*OR*
2) if you drop over another contact, Coccinella asks you to send a file to that contact

Additional remarks:
* On Ubuntu 9.10, drag and drop is broken when desktop effects are enabled.
* If I drag a contact outside the roster, the drag disappears (but I still can drag contacts afterwards).
* tkdnd 2.0 had been released earlier today: http://sourceforge.net/projects/tkdnd/files/
* I cannot reproduce #2. Can you maybe specify your system?

with tkdnd 2.0 installed on my openbsd box, DND within the roster seems to work fine, however, when I try to drag something into an other application, then, immediately after leaving the roster with the mouse the following exception shows up:
