Bug Description
Errors should be logged to a file or something by default instead of showing them on-screen in an error dialog. Error dialogs should be only be showed when debugging is enabled.

Some errors should be displayed if they affect a certain kind of
operation and the user's actions in the future may depend on it. To
handle all kinds of error recovery is one of the hardest things to do.
