Bug Description
Support for JEP-0039 would be nice to have:

1) see also Tkabber code
2) most public servers running ejabberd have the statistics module
enabled; so you can test with the public statistics that are available to
everyone (admins can see more numbers of course ;) )

I'm not so sure this is a good idea since that JEP is marked EOL:
WARNING: Consideration of this JEP has been Deferred by the
Jabber Software Foundation. Implementation of the protocol
described herein is not recommended.
Perhaps you can convince me ;-)
