Bug Description
This is a feature request to include nfs-common in Ubuntu EKS AMIs to reach feature parity with Amazon Linux AMIs.
Motivation
Support for NFS mounting on Amazon EKS optimized Amazon Linux AMI comes baked into the image, see https:/
The Amazon EKS optimized Ubuntu Linux AMI however does not appear to ship with nfs-common, so it's not a drop-in replacement for Amazon Linux AMI when running NFS workloads in EKS.

The latest AMIs (serial 20230315) do contain now the nfs-common package. Please let us know if there is something missing.
