Bug Description
Hi
Currently, the OVF builds of Ubuntu come with an old version of VM hardware compatibility - version 10.
This is the case on the 'current' daily build.
This version is equivalent to ESXi 5.5, which is long EOL.
To use native cloud volume attachment in ESXi, VM version 13 is required at minimum.
VM version 13 belongs to ESXi 6.5 - which is also EOL.
Currently the oldest supported ESXi is version 7.0 - version 17.
I'm assuming the version is kept so low due to backwards compatibility since OVF is a cross platform format; however, would it be worth upgrading the default VM version to something more recent?
I know the HW version upgrade can be done manually, but I thought it might be better to report it.
Thanks
