It looks to me the endpoint is receiving updates for security fixes for non-amd64 architectures:

As a workaround until this problem is fixed, I've changed the apt repo definition to

$ sed -i 's|||' /etc/apt/sources.list

And then `apt-get update` work for me on trusty:

$apt-get update
