description |
i launched four instances yesterday of yakkety through the aws ui.
I launched one of each of the root-store/virt permutations.
# ami-ce7ce7d9 ssd hvm
# ami-5472e943 instance hvm
# ami-3f72e928 ssd pv
# ami-847de693 instance pv
Each was a m3.medium. both of the pv virt types failed to boot.
Attached are console logs and instance information and size collected by the aws command. |
Due to PV-GRUB not supporting ext4 partitions produced by yakkety's tooling, we have had to modify the way we produce images before publication to work around this. Currently, we have worked around for all virt/storage combinations other than PV-EBS, which we are currently working on. |
