Bug Description
The locate(1) command is used to quickly find files on the local filesystem. The command requires the filesystem filenames to be indexed, using the updatedb(8) command. This command is run regularly in a cronjob. However, it would be really nice if Ubuntu's cloud images ran this once during the image creation, in order to seed the database and ensure that the locate(1) command was functional right out of the box.
