neutron-vpnaas-dashboard not packaged

Currently there unfortunately seem to be no packaging of the neutron-vpnaas-dashboard (https://opendev.org/openstack/neutron-vpnaas-dashboard // https://docs.openstack.org/releasenotes/neutron-vpnaas-dashboard/) available via UCA.

There are packages in Ubuntu itself though: https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=neutron-vpnaas-dashboard&searchon=names&suite=all&section=all

Would be great of those could be added.

I don't think the existing package that is synced from debian will work until we put the enabled files into /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/openstack_dashboard/enabled.

Do I understand you correctly then, that the package could be shipped via UCA but (simply) needs a packaging change compared to Debian or the "regular" Ubuntu packages in Focal or Hirsute?

Corey could you kindly give an update on this issue? Would be awesome to have this available via UCA and therefore for all supported OpenStack releases and not "just" Victoria.

The neutron-vpnaas-dashboard package is available in Ubuntu:

* jammy (22.04LTS) (python): OpenStack VPN as a Service - dashboard plugin [universe]
5.0.0-1: all

* kinetic (python): OpenStack VPN as a Service - dashboard plugin [universe]
6.0.0-2: all

but without having it available in the the intermediate OpenStack versions via UCA this will break every other release (if there are changes).

FWIW I've just build neutron-vpnaas-dashboard for Ubuntu focal using the [debian/xena] branch available on salsa.d.o and the xena UCA.

The package works out of the box.
