Changed in neutron (Ubuntu Bionic):
status: Triaged → Fix Released

Hello Corey, or anyone else affected,

Accepted neutron into queens-proposed. The package will build now and be available in the Ubuntu Cloud Archive in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. To enable the -proposed repository:

  sudo add-apt-repository cloud-archive:queens-proposed
  sudo apt-get update

Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-queens-needed to verification-queens-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-queens-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

I installed 2:12.0.1-0ubuntu1 in bionic and was hit by high cpu load on neutron and computes from neutron-linux-bridge-agent.
Neutron 12.0.1 contains the fix for bug 1745468, which unfortunately caused new bug 1750777.
The fix for that new bug fixed the high cpu load for me in bionic.

I *think* the targets for cloud-archive:queens-proposed may be hit by the same issue.

Albert, thanks for letting us know. I've opened https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-archive/+bug/1767128 to provide a round of stable releases for Queens. Note that with Bionic being released today and the C release not being opened yet, we probably likely can't upload these updates for another week but I will work on it asap.

Marking queens as fix released since 12.0.1 is already in the queens-updates pocket.
