Bug Description

Running Openstack Kilo on Trusty from the Ubuntu Cloud Archive, this is the output of apt-cache policy python-openstack-auth:

python-openstack-auth:
  Installed: 1.1.7-1~cloud0
  Candidate: 1.1.7-1~cloud0
  Version table:
 *** 1.1.7-1~cloud0 0
       1000 http://ubuntu-cloud.archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/kilo/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     1.1.3-0ubuntu3 0
        990 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages

One of the most annoying bugs in 1.1.7 forces users to login twice after being logged out due to inactivity: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/142737/.

It has been fixed in 1.1.9, so it would be great to have a package for this version at least (but ideally 2.0.1).

The main Ubuntu archive has a package for 2.0.0 in Wily (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-django-openstack-auth); I don't know if that makes it easier to backport to Trusty.

Let me know if there is something I can do to help.

This bug is related to 1403037 but is not a duplicate.

1403037 incorrectly blames the problem on the Openstack projects, whereas this bug, 1525151 recommends the correct action, which is to update the packaging for cloud-archive to the current (and correct) version of python-django-openstack-auth
