your first snap gives error

When running snapcraft on the your first snap example, I get:

This error is a problem related to releasing snappy and click-reviewers-tools out of sync.
While I think this is fixed in trunk, a quality gate binding these three projects would be good.

This is fixed in snappy 16. We do not generate a click manifest anymore nor do we require the description fields in the service.
