Bug Description

The tweets from @ubuntuclassroom look like this:

Starting in 10 Minutes in #ubuntu-classroom: How to participate remotely at an Ubuntu Developer Summit - jcastro

The twitter web client is confused and turns just "#ubuntu" into a link to a twitter search for the hashtag "#ubuntu":

  http://twitter.com/search?q=%23ubuntu

It should instead provide either an irc: url to the classroom, or a link to a web page that leads to more information.

I am hesitant to add a link because it will waste about 18 characters, and most people will not find a link to freenode's webchat useful.

The messed up hashtag really isn't messed up. We sort of liked that the #ubuntu hashtag is getting applied (which is what should be included) while also being able to specify the IRC channel. In a dent where every character counts, being able to type '#ubuntu-classroom' to accomplish both of those things was a big bonus.

Could you also please clarify the issue you are reporting? Are you trying to get a link to the IRC channel added to the message? Or are you just trying to get the message rephrased to make the fact that '#ubuntu-classroom' is an IRC channel more clear?

Maybe we can have irc://irc.freenode.net:6667/ubuntu-classroom, but what happens if the user doesn't have an IRC client available?
