Yes, me too. I also have the issue of the contextual menu items not showing up for ClamTK in Nautilus file manager. Does that affect any others?

@Stephen Allen (stephen-d-allen),

clamtk-gnome version 0.05 has been released. Does that help?

@ipv (ipv),

I'm aware of the problem, but am unsure as to what causes it.

Still researching.

Thanks!

@ipv (ipv),

Actually, I think I see the problem.

If you can test this, that'd be great. You will require sudo for this.

Please locate the GUI.pm file. It's usually in a directory like this:
/usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/ClamTk/

Scroll down to the "sub select_directory {" line (should be line 610).

First, comment out lines 621, 622, and 623. Just put a "#" in front of each line.

Then, insert a line at 620 like this:

$dialog->set_show_hidden( FALSE );

Save, and run.

If it works, I can push out 6.06 this week.

Thanks,
Dave M

On Ubuntu LTS 20.04 I don't have that path - see screengrab. Thanks.

Ok, on Ubuntu 18.04 it's this:

/usr/share/perl5/ClamTk/

I don't have 20.04 installed yet.

Yeah ... not there either. I'll get back to it later on this evening.

@Stephen Allen (stephen-d-allen),

Are you using snaps or debs? I'm wondering if the snap structure is different and would account for you not having it in that location.

Can you try something like:

sudo dpkg -L clamtk

Thanks,
Dave M

@ipv (ipv),

I'm not sure why that's showing up like that. I'm attaching a screenshot of 6.05 where it shows a regular button, so hopefully when/if you upgrade it'll be different.

I'm using the distro version from Ubuntu Focal.

Actually the problem is solved up for me — Don't know when, (I don't use
manual directory scans often) but when running one last night, I didn't
have hidden items showing afterwards.
