Hi,

Thanks for letting me know.

I came across this same issue previously during testing. Here's what I think is happening: ClamTk is checking the website text to see what is available. The updater is looking for updates which have not yet been pushed.

Please wait a day to see if everything syncs up.

I'm actually more interested in the screenshot part that displays "0" antivirus signatures. How is that possible? ClamAV should come with a set of signatures...

Thanks,
Dave M

No, you have the latest. I'm just wondering how ClamTk got installed and
you have no antivirus signatures. Can you check what clamav packages you
have installed? Maybe you can check using one of the GUIs for that? Or
try from the commandline with "dpkg -l *clamav*" (without quotes)? Sorry,
I'm not an Ubuntu expert.

Thanks,
Dave M

Can you post the contents of your prefs file?

cat ~/.clamtk/prefs

At least the "Update=" line.

Also, can you run ClamTk from the commandline to see if any error messages
are coming up? Just open a terminal window and type:

clamtk

Ok. Now, use the Update Assistant (next to Update). Switch to
automatically receives updates, click apply, select update signatures
yourself, and click apply again.

I'm trying to see if there are any system signatures there, so at least
you'll have the base number of signatures to start with.

Then run it again, and see if the update area shows you having signatures.
Also, if it will let you update them from there.

Thanks,
Dave M

Well this is a difficult one. Can you try to reinstall clamav? I just
think it's weird you don't have any signatures... makes me think something
went wrong.

I installed clamav on Ubuntu-14.04 (64-bit). There is a web proxy configured (no user auth required). Everything seems to be working fine.

I instaleld clamTk-5.06. It refuses to reach out to check for updates, no matter what. I've tried changing the setting in "Update Assistant", did not help at all.

After I click "OK" on the "Check for updates" window, that window would slowly go dark and back to bright, and the "OK" button would change color to orange, but nothing else changes.

Updates seem badly screwed up.

P.S. I really miss the cleanness and compactness of clamTk-4.45. 5.06 seems nothing but grief.

Hi,

1. Please run "clamtk" from the commandline (no quotes). Run it like you normally would - please take note of any errors or warnings that pop up in the terminal window as you do this. Definitely try to check for updates while doing this.

2. The HTTPProxy=1 means you're using the environment proxy. Is that what you intended? (As opposed to writing in something like a URL and port)

Thanks,
Dave M
