Bug Description

It's not in gzip format.

$ wget https://download.cirros-cloud.net/0.3.5/cirros-0.3.5-source.tar.gz

$ tar xf cirros-0.3.5-source.tar.gz

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

I've' updated the tarball on download.cirros-cloud.net. very unfortunately, I don't know how it got like that.
the code in bin/build-release that created it seems sane.
