Bug Description

Package: cinnamon
Version: 1.4.0-lmde1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

first I installed Ubuntu 12.04 when that was released and found that the gnome3 desktop was unusable due to the interface-font and reported that bug. Because that was not fixed yet, I tried 'linux mint cinnamon' first, which was not installable at all because of a similar reason. Now I found there is a similar problem in 'linux mint debian /cinnamon'.
It looks OK at first glance, but as soon as one tries to open the application-menu, messy font and messy icons show. So there is no choice for me at the moment between mate and cinnamon.

Nobody tells me what kind of information is needed in order to fix the problem, so I submit an automatically generated installation-report. That is better than nothing at all , isn´t it ?

I am afraid you got the wrong project - cinnamon resides under cinnamon-desktop - you will have to do that report again.
