Bug Description
We are configuring New test bed for FC plugin testing in kilo release, I have installed Dev stack in one of the servers and connections are all up.
I am facing issue with HP 3 PARStorage configuration in cinder.conf, can you please help us in configuring the HP storage
When creating a volume in HP storage I am getting an error message “ Unable to update stats, HP3PARFCDriver -2.0.15 (config name 3parfc-1) driver is uninitialized” in cinder-volume logs. Either, the 3PAR WS is not running or the version of the WS is invalid” the issue is observed when restarting the cinder-volume service.
Steps followed for troubleshooting:
1. I have checked the WS service is running in the storage and checked the HP 3PAR firmware version its displayed as 3.1.3 MU1 as mentioned in document
2. Manually created virtual volumes in storage and it was successful
3. VGS command in server is displaying the storage volumes
4. Checked the network access from server to storage, I am able to ping the storage from the server
5. Installed the hp3parclient Python package
6. During Devstack installation I have provided the Cinder enabled backends list with the fc details
7. Verified the HP driver is present in location /opt/stack/
