gettext lazy translation workaround incomplete

Bug 1225099 landed "52a98c2 Disable lazy translation" which turns off lazy translation in cinder-all and cinder-api.

I assume that this change should have done the same for cinder-backup, cinder-scheduler, and cinder-volume, which use gettext the same way. (Maybe other cinder/bin/* as well.)

I haven't noticed any problems related to this, but that fix looks incomplete, so we may still see issues related to this.

Are you looking at an older version of the icehouse tree? The bug you are referring to was for Havana. Since, we have tried enabling gettextutils lazy translation for Cinder but ended up reverting it here: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/79468/

From what I can see in the latest master branch, Cinder is back to the state it was in when I started trying to re-enable lazy translation, which is in the default, disabled state.

I think Jay's comment is right. I have checked Cinder's code in master and I all the gettextutils calls are leaving lazy in False.
IMHO this is not a valid bug.
