Bug Description
There is an extra window being created when Cheese starts up. It is blank and is normally not visible as it sits behind the main Cheese window. However, it can be seen by pressing <alt><tab> while the main Cheese window is showing. This blank window has become apparent now that we have the Jax10 shutter button launching/showing Cheese, as the shutter button now brings the blank window to the front rather than the real Cheese window if it is pressed while Cheese is running in the background.
I checked this and this problem has been around since version 2.22.0-0ubuntu1 in Hardy, which incorporated an updated Hildon patch. It appears that this patch inadvertently adds the extra window.
I'm investigating this now. If the problem turns out to indeed be a function of the hildon patch, then this needs to be a public bug against Cheese, and I will file an new bug in Ubuntu as well as Gnome upstream, and will include a patch with the fix once I have it.
