Bug Description

the touchpad.py script used for the touchpad horizontal and vertical scroll tests quite often crashes, rather than cleanly exiting. This often results in the test being marked as failed, even though it was actually successful. This also generates a traceback, apparently, which can cause apport to fire if it's configured to fire on python traces as it does during certification testing.
