[touchpad/horizontal] GEdit naturally opens with word wrapping turned on so the test is impossible

When the touchpad/horizontal test runs, it opens GEdit with a presumably very long line, setting us up for horizontal scrolling. However, GEdit opens with word-wrapping turned on, which means the test is impossible to perform if the tester doesn't know to perform the additional steps of opening GEdit preferences and de-selecting the word wrapping option, then attempting the horizontal scrolling action.

Need to either disable word-wrapping automatically some how, or find a better way (perhaps create a popup window with a horizontal scroll bar for this test.
