Bug Description
Tests:
optical/cdrom-write
optical/cdrom-read
The above tests fail to detect and/or write to media.
Steps:
cdrom-read
1.) Insert cd media into tray and close (media used: acer-monitor driver disk).
2.) Wait for os to recognize and mount /dev/sr0
3.) Select "test" from checkbox gui.
cdrom-write
1.) Insert blank CD-R into tray.
2.) Wait for os to recognize and mount /dev/sr0
3.) Select "test" from checkbox gui.
Both tests fail despite being able to manually write and read from different cds.
Manual write test:
System: 12.04
Kernel: 3.0.23-generic
Checkbox-version 0.13.1
Systems that failed:
CID: 201103-7383 (Dell Latitude E6510)
CID: 201012-6934 (Dell Latitude E6320)

Hello! Can you please check the test's definition (in /usr/share/ checkbox/ jobs/optical. txt) and confirm that they refer to /dev/cdrom and not to /dev/sr0?
Can you also please check that /dev/cdrom exists and points to /dev/sr0?
In my recent cert runs I noticed /dev/cdrom does not exist.
