Bug Description

OpenJDK 7 crashes with a segfault[0] when a Java program tries to discover a hostname and the fully-qualified hostname is longer than 65 characters. This means that Jenkins cannot possibly start on GCE Juju hosts, because the host naming convention of the GCE provider ('juju-<UUID>-machine-<machine number>') combined with the GCE suffix ('.c.<project_name>.internal') is at least 67 characters[1].

[1] GCE project names must be at least 4 characters.

Two potential solutions:

- the fix for the segfault gets SRU'd back in to the openjdk-7 package(s)
- land openjdk-8 in trusty-backports and use that

The SRU that just landed in trusty did not fix this.
