Bug Description
About a year ago I we were trying to set up an iCal server and we became a little familiar with two iCal servers (but never actually used them in a production environment) http://
These iCal servers may be easier to install and configure now..
Apple's calendar server has "limited" Linux support, it lags the (commercial?) Mac version. But has an active team of Apple devs. Written in Python and may have flexible db support (PostgreSQL and Sqlite) but needs "extended attributes" fs support for some reason. Apache License v2.

DaviCal seems to be developed by one developer "Andrew McMillan", it's written in php and uses PostgreSQL. It's packaged by the developer for Debian and Ubuntu. As I understand it DaviCal uses exclusive PostgreSQL features. GPL v3.

Other iCal servers are listed here: http://

I have a partial bash script to set up an older version of DaviCal somewhere, based on above tutorials.

Debian maintainer likes to upload calendarserver version 3.1 to 12.04 /answers. launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +source/ calendarserver/ +question/ 185654

That would provide a good start to write a charm on top of.
