Bug Description

See https://github.com/CanonicalLtd/jujucharms.com/issues/45 for details and break down.

There's a good icon in another branch that could be used to correct the issue from

~lomov-as/cloudfoundry/trusty/3/

I have updated the icon in the ~cf-charmers charms to resolve the ns: attribute issue. However, I'm unclear on how or when that will be ingested into jujucharms.com. Additionally, I have some concerns about this bug report:

The original bug was reported as an issue against ~lomov-as/cloudfoundry, not ~cf-charmers/cloudfoundry. If the ~lomov-as branch's icon is ok (it's actually a much older version of the icon), why is its main icon in jujucharms.com broken (but not, as the original ticket mentioned, the icon in the Connections area)?

The ~cf-charmers Cloud Foundry charm doesn't show up at all in a search for "cloud foundry" on jujucharms.com, while the ~lomov-as branch is the first result. The ~cf-charmers charm can be navigated to manually on jujucharms.com, so why doesn't it show up in the search at all, much less as the first result?

Changed in charms:
status: New → Fix Committed

Cory thanks for the update. Sorry for filing the bug on the wrong one.

So it should be ingested after updating.

As to the cf-charmers one not showing up, I'm going to guess it's because it's not been marked promulgated by the eco team. We have a bug in the current charmstore that promulgated charms show up twice, once with and once without the user part of the url.

e.g.

cs:mysql
cs:~charmers/mysql

Because of this, we've currently filtered out the secondary results by matching on charms/bundles that are owned by ~.*-charmers, expecting the shorter url'd versions to stick around reducing our duplicates while the charmstore back end is updated to handle this properly with a deeper (and taking more time) fix.

If a charm or bundle is owned by a team matching that regex but is not in fact promulgated and available as just

cs:cloudfoundry

then you'd see the 'missing' search result you're describing.

Thank you for the icon update. It is correct now and should work but we've hit a bug in the charmstore api. I've updated bug https://github.com/juju/charmstore/issues/301 with the details and we'll get that worked out asap.
