Bug Description
When related to the neutron-gateway charm, nrpe ships with a check (check_netns.sh) against neutron's netns setup, which due to a separate bug (LP:2003402), doesn't actually raise alerts.
We've observed it silently "alerting" in apparently-healthy clouds, this bug is to track whether it's actually measuring anything useful before deciding whether to fix the linked bug that prevents it from actually alerting.
